To this end, KS would suggest to use Al203-SiC-C Brick as main refractory for the lining and mouth of torpedo.Whereas different class of Al203-SiC-C bricks, which is produced from various raw material and with diferentproduction process, are recommended for various part of the ladle respectively

Al2O3-Sic-C Brick
AL2O3-Sic-C lining bricks for the torpedo tank car with pre-treating molten iron and molten iron ladle, which have the advantages of high anti-oxidation, strong resistance to slag corrosion, good thermal shock resistance and good resistance to machine scour wear and abrasion.
Material composition
Alumina (Al2O3): It has high hardness, high melting point, good chemical stability and mechanical strength. It is the main component of lining bricks and can provide basic properties such as high temperature resistance and wear resistance.
Silicon carbide (SiC): It has high hardness, high wear resistance, good thermal conductivity and thermal shock resistance. It can enhance the wear resistance, corrosion resistance and thermal conductivity of lining bricks and improve the stability of lining bricks at high temperatures.
Carbon (C): It usually exists in the form of graphite, etc., which can improve the toughness, thermal shock resistance and slag corrosion resistance of lining bricks, and reduce the thermal expansion coefficient of lining bricks, so that lining bricks are not easy to crack when the temperature changes.
Performance characteristics
Good corrosion resistance: Alumina and silicon carbide can resist chemical corrosion from slag, molten steel, etc. The presence of carbon can prevent the penetration of slag, so that the lining bricks have excellent slag corrosion resistance and extend the service life.
High wear resistance: The high hardness of alumina and silicon carbide gives the lining bricks good wear resistance, which can withstand the scouring and friction of materials, reduce wear and maintain the integrity of the lining brick.
Excellent thermal shock stability: The low expansion coefficient and high thermal conductivity of silicon carbide and carbon can effectively alleviate the thermal stress generated when the temperature changes sharply, making the lining brick less likely to crack and peel off during the thermal cycle.
High strength and high toughness: The combination of alumina, silicon carbide and carbon gives the lining bricks high strength at room temperature and high temperature, which can withstand the pressure and mechanical shock in the furnace. At the same time, the presence of carbon gives the lining bricks a certain toughness and improves its impact resistance.
Good oxidation resistance: By adding antioxidants and other measures, Al2O3-SiC-C lining bricks have good oxidation resistance at high temperatures, which can slow down the oxidation rate of carbon and keep the performance of the lining brick stable.
